     The G.A.T.E. Program continues to thrive in reaching academic excellence.

     Our second grade G.A.T.E. classes will be going to the Bakersfield Californian.  They will be given the opportunity to tour the plant and see the printing press in action!  The trip will take place on December 13.  *Please remember to go over the expectations in behavior when we are guests of any facility.

     In the third grade G.A.T.E., students are learning to print hot off the press.  Room 31 has completed their first monthly newsletter. (Check out their writing on Ms. Hancock's web page!)  Another project being worked on is the state report.  Students are responsible for investigating a state and completing a written report.

     Our One-Day G.A.T.E. Program has students doing scientific investigations about the weather.  They also participated in community service during Red Ribbon Week.  Students completed their oceanography theme which was finalized with a trip to the Long Beach Aquarium.
